For fifteen years, Tannin has been honored to serve Kansas City as a neighborhood wine bar rooted in hospitality, thoughtful food, and a passion for great wine.
From first dates and anniversaries to wine club nights and celebrations with friends, Tannin has been part of countless memories over the years. As we mark our 15th anniversary, we invite you to join us for a special weekend celebration.
For one weekend only, Chef Brian Aaron will be returning a selection of beloved Tannin classics to the menu:
-Truffled Mushroom Cream Soup
-Steak Tartare
-Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna
-Bone-in Dry-Aged Duroc Pork Chop
-Molten Chocolate Cake
-Cinnamon Sugar Beignets
These dishes will be available February 27 through March 1, 2026. Menu items are subject to change.

Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen is honored to welcome Austrian winemakers Ingrid Groiss and Paul Achs for a special five-course food and wine dinner celebrating the diversity and depth of Austria’s most compelling regions.
The evening begins with a reception featuring Ingrid Groiss’ Gemischter Satz from Weinviertel, followed by a thoughtfully designed five-course dinner from Chef Brian. Each course is paired with wines that showcase the precision, purity, and character of Austrian viticulture — from Groiss’ elegant and expressive whites to Achs’ structured and biodynamically farmed reds from Burgenland.
This intimate evening will highlight seven Austrian wines, presented by the winemakers themselves, offering guests the opportunity to explore regional identity, farming philosophy, and the harmony between food and wine.
Seating is limited to 40 guests.

Join us for a special Champagne Takeover featuring the brilliant wines of A. Bergère.
On Friday, March 13, we’re dedicating the evening to four exceptional cuvées from this celebrated Champagne house. From 5:00–7:00 PM, Maxime Pierlot, Export Manager for A. Bergère, will be in the house sharing stories, terroir insights, and what makes these wines such standouts in our program.
Bergère Champagnes have become a favorite at Tannin for their balance of precision and generosity. Sourced from top vineyard sites and crafted with nuanced winemaking, these wines deliver complexity, energy, and true sense of place.
Champagne Flight – $45 Two ounces of each of the following:
A. Bergère Brut Origine (NV, based on 2022)
A. Bergère Rosé Brut
A. Bergère Solera Blanc de Blancs Brut (2022 base)
A. Bergère 2015 Millésime
Wines will also be available by the glass all night.
