Tannin 201: Exploring 6 Key Regions of France

Tuesday March 26th

Wine 201, we will focus on the aspect that French winemakers and wine drinkers consider the single biggest factor, the places where the grapes are grown.

We will introduce 6 iconic wine regions (Champagne, Loire, Alsace, Burgundy, Rhone and Bordeaux) with deliciously representative wines from each. Each of these regions produces distinctively local wines from grapes that are best suited to the soil, climate and conditions of their landscapes (and are also widely considered some of the planet’s best wines). We will explore those distinctions with the aim of helping you understand what to expect from each one, how the wines are unique and what their various characteristics and food pairing attributes.
