Wine 301: Burgundy

Tuesday June 10th

France’s Burgundy region is home to the world’s best and most famous wines made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.  In Wine 301:  Burgundy, we will explore this famous region through 6 top examples of these famous wines.

In Wine 101 we explore the key factors that most strongly influence the style, expression and the ultimate flavor of the wines we enjoy.  For Wine 201, we will focus on the aspect that many winemakers and wine drinkers consider the single biggest factor: the places where the grapes are grown.  Wine 301 gets even more specific, as we look at one region and two grapes in close detail.

We will use the key sub-regions (Chablis, Cote de Nuits, Cote de Beaune, Cote Chalonnaise and Cote Maconnais) with deliciously representative wines from each.  Each of these areas produces distinctively styled Burgundies that reflect the specific climates and traditional techniques of these areas.  While Burgundy is the peak

At Tannin, we believe that nothing should stand between you and your enjoyment of wine and we will remove every cork needed to make that happen!

Farmers' Market Dinner

Tuesday June 24th

We are thrilled to announce our 2025 Farmers’ Market Dinner will be held on Tuesday, June 24.

This dinner celebrates local, peak-of-season early Summer produce.  We hope that you enjoy this delicious opportunity to highlight the local farmers and producers.

The optional cocktail & wine pairing will feature a Tannin signature cocktail plus two wines each from three of our most exciting and high-quality local wineries; Bourgmont Winery in Bucyrus, KS, Eagles’ Landing Winery in St. James, MO and Terra Vox Winery in Kansas City, MO.  We believe that these exceptional midwestern wines represent the true potential and character of Kansas and Missouri wine.  We hope that you will venture to pair them with your meal, whether you still consider yourself a local wine skeptic or if you are already in the know!
