Valentine’s Weekend at Tannin

Friday February 13th

Celebrate Valentine’s Weekend at Tannin with a thoughtfully crafted prix-fixe dinner designed for lingering conversations, exceptional wine, and memorable moments.

From Friday through Sunday, February 14–16, enjoy a multi-course dining experience featuring elegant starters like oysters on the half shell or steak tartare, followed by refined selections such as langoustine risotto or roasted beet salad. Entrées include seared yellowtail hamachi or grilled rack of lamb, finished with indulgent desserts like strawberry Bavarian tart or hazelnut fudge brownie.

The experience is $85 per person, with an optional wine pairing available to complement each course (+$45 half-glass pairing or +$90 full-glass pairing).

Whether you’re celebrating with a partner, friends, or simply treating yourself to a special evening out, Valentine’s Weekend at Tannin offers a warm, intimate setting and a menu worth savoring.

For fifteen years, Tannin has been honored to serve Kansas City as a neighborhood wine bar rooted in hospitality, thoughtful food, and a passion for great wine.

From first dates and anniversaries to wine club nights and celebrations with friends, Tannin has been part of countless memories over the years. As we mark our 15th anniversary, we invite you to join us for a special weekend celebration.

For one weekend only, Chef Brian Aaron will be returning a selection of beloved Tannin classics to the menu:

-Truffled Mushroom Cream Soup 

-Steak Tartare 

-Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna 

-Bone-in Dry-Aged Duroc Pork Chop 

-Molten Chocolate Cake 

-Cinnamon Sugar Beignets

These dishes will be available February 27 through March 1, 2026. Menu items are subject to change.

Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen is honored to welcome Austrian winemakers Ingrid Groiss and Paul Achs for a special five-course food and wine dinner celebrating the diversity and depth of Austria’s most compelling regions.

The evening begins with a reception featuring Ingrid Groiss’ Gemischter Satz from Weinviertel, followed by a thoughtfully designed five-course dinner from Chef Brian. Each course is paired with wines that showcase the precision, purity, and character of Austrian viticulture — from Groiss’ elegant and expressive whites to Achs’ structured and biodynamically farmed reds from Burgenland.

This intimate evening will highlight seven Austrian wines, presented by the winemakers themselves, offering guests the opportunity to explore regional identity, farming philosophy, and the harmony between food and wine.

Seating is limited to 40 guests.
